Terms
Valid from 1 October 2026.
1. Who you contract with
Daunder is offered by Christian Schimanski, Nideggen, Germany — see the imprint for the full address. Contact: [email protected]. These terms apply to consumers and businesses; where the law gives consumers more rights, those rights apply.
2. Accounts
During the beta, accounts are created by invitation only. You can use Daunder in the browser and in the apps with the same account.
3. Free and Plus
Free costs nothing and includes three journeys of your own, every book design and the print-ready export (PDF and 300 dpi JPEGs). Journeys you are invited to do not count.
Plus adds unlimited journeys of your own and the AI tools (day summaries, title ideas, writing help). Daunder does not provide an AI service of its own: the tools run on your device where it supports this, or with an AI provider you set up yourself. Your contract with that provider, and its costs, are separate from Daunder.
4. Prices and payment
Plus costs €24.99 for the first year or €3.99 a month. No VAT is charged: Daunder is a small business under § 19 UStG. On daunder.app, payment is processed by Stripe; the subscription is managed with RevenueCat. If you buy Plus in the App Store or on Google Play, Apple or Google sell it to you under their own terms and prices.
5. Term and renewal
The monthly plan renews every month until you cancel; you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current month. The yearly plan runs for one year and then ends — it does not renew. We remind you by email two weeks before it ends, so you can buy another year or switch to the monthly plan if you want to.
6. Cancelling
Cancel on daunder.app/cancel — no sign-in needed — or by email. You get a confirmation with the content and time of your cancellation right away. Plus keeps running until the end of the period you paid for. Nothing is deleted when Plus ends: you keep every journey and can still edit and export each book. You just cannot start a new journey of your own while you have three or more.
7. Gift codes
A code unlocks Plus for the stated time without payment. Each code works once per account and only until the date stated on it. Codes cannot be exchanged for money. Code-based Plus does not renew.
8. Right of withdrawal
Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us — Christian Schimanski, address in the imprint, email [email protected] — by means of a clear statement (for example, an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but this is not obligatory. Signed in, you can also withdraw on the pricing page. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notice before the withdrawal period expires.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day we receive your notice. We use the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction; you will not be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

9. Availability and liability
We work to keep Daunder available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise only for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Statutory liability rules for consumers remain unaffected.
10. Changes and law
We tell you about changes to these terms by email at least six weeks in advance; you can cancel before they take effect. German law applies; as a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
